Clients include TIME, Newsweek, LEVI'S/BBH Singapore (Bartle Bogle Hegarty), JDK Design/Merrell, Chiat Day/Gatorade, Clarins, Chronicle Books, Human Rights Watch, The New Yorker, New York Times Magazine, Sunday Times Magazine, Amica, Guardian Magazine, and GEO (magazine) (French edition).[2]
In its first year (2010), INSTITUTE artists received more PDN Annual 2010 awards than any other photo agency.[3] In a similar sweep, works by five of its artists were also selected for reproduction in the prestigious American Photography 26 book.[4] Prominent cover stories in 2010 include "YEMEN" by Simon Norfolk for the New York Times Magazine,[5] and "Afghan Women" for TIME Magazine by Jodi Bieber.[6] In its 19 months of operations, the company reported having secured over 45 cover stories (magazines), and more than 5,000 pages published.[7] In February 2011, INSTITUTE artist, Jodi Bieber, received the highest honor in photojournalism, Picture of the Year from the World Press Photo.[8]
INSTITUTE was named one of "Four of the world's premier photo agencies..." in the August 2010 issue of the British Journal of Photography.[9]
